Explore the basic techniques of making stone tools in this hands-on course for grown-ups. A limited number of starter kits will be available at the library; email ctollefson [at] deforestlibrary.org to reserve your kit before 11/17; kits may be picked up at the library beginning 11/21. 

Safety is of the utmost importance when flintknapping. It is best to wear safety glasses and heavy gloves, and work in a garage or outdoors to make sure shards don't get stepped on (like the living room carpet or kitchen floor).
