Employment Opportunities:
Full Time (40 Hours/week) Maker Space Librarian at DeForest Area Public Library
Are you passionate about library service? Do you have a sense of humor? Do you know how to use a variety of tools from hand tools to power tools to 3-d printers? Can you demonstrate how to use the many tools that reside in our workshop to create fascinating projects for people of all ages? When you see a list like this: Newspapers, Straws, Tape, Rubber bands, Popsicle sticks, Feathers, Cotton Balls, Plastic wrap, cardboard tubes. Do you immediately start thinking about what you could build? Are you interested in helping people use all types of tools to repair, repurpose, and create? And, almost-most-importantly, are you willing to learn how to operate our animatronic feathered T-rex dinosaur, Delilah?? If you answer yes to most of the preceding questions, then this might be the job for you!
