    • LSC Author Talks:

      Enjoy a range of talks from bestselling authors and thought leaders. Brought to you in partnership with the Library Speakers Consortium (LSC).

  • All Ages

    • Programs:

      Programs geared for all ages.

    • Reading Programs:

      We have Summer (June - mid-August) and Winter (mid-December - February) reading programs for kids birth - 18 and adults!

    • Summer Concerts:

      We have Concerts at the Rocks at 1:00 pm Tuesdays June 11 - July 2 and Concerts on Market Street at 6:30 pm Tuesdays July 9 - 30.

    • Board Games:

      Join us most first Saturdays of the month to play board games. We have games for ages 2+.

    • Mini Painting:

      Most third Saturdays of the month we paint different miniatures. All ages are welcome, kids 12 and younger may attend with a parent or guardian.

    • Studio 203:

      This small area provides a place for children and families to experience, learn, and create.

  • Adults

    • Programs:

      Programs for adults, seniors, and older teens.

    • All-Abilities Social Hour:

      Different activities each month for adults of all abilities on 1st Thursday in the Library Community Room at 6:00 pm.

    • Book Clubs:

      • Badger Book Club - 4th Monday in Room C at noon.
      • Banned Book Club - 1st Wednesday in Room C at 12 pm or 6:30 pm.
      • Dragonwood Readers - 2nd Friday at the DeForest Area Community & Senior Center at 9:30 am.
      • Whimsical Bookworms - 3rd Thursday in the Room C at 6:30 pm.

    • Senior Outreach:

      Library events (Dragonwood Readers Book Group and Library at the Center) and services (Homebound Deliveries).

    • Interest Groups:

      • Coloring for Adults - Coloring group that meets twice a month.
      • Dewey Stitchers - Fiber arts group that meets twice a month.
      • Memoir Writers - meets twice a month.
      • Monday Matinee - meets on various Mondays.
      • Photography Group - Digital photography club that meets once a month.
      • Qigong - meets most Tuesday mornings.

      Programs geared for kids ages 11 - 18. Teen D&D, Anime & Manga Club, Tinker Zone, and more.

      • Page Turners: 4th - 6th grade first Tuesdays at 4 pm.
      • Flashlight Readers: 7th - 8th grade second Tuesdays at 4 pm.
      • Checked Out Crew: 9th - 12th grade third Tuesdays at 4 pm.

    • Storytime:

      • Story Hours: Kids 2 - 5 years old, Mondays & Thursdays at 9:15 am and 10:15 am.
      • Tiny Tot Times: Kids 1 - 3 years old, Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 9:15 am and Wednesdays at 10:15 am.
      • Yoga Storytime: Select Tuesdays, preschool - school-age, registration required for each session.
      • Wiggles and Giggles: Kids birth - 12 months old, most Tuesdays at 10 am.

    • Book Clubs:

      • My First Book Club: First Mondays at 4 pm, preschool - 1st grade, registration required.
      • Chapter Chats: Second Mondays at 4 pm, 2nd - 4th grade, registration required.
      • Read with an Officer: First Wednesday at 3:30 pm, all ages.
      • 1000 Books Club: Ongoing on Beanstack, all ages.

    • Exploratories:

      Join us on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays starting October 2, 2024 for free family activities.

    • Steaming Into Wednesdays:

      Join us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays starting October 9, 2024 for free family activity times for preschool through 5th-grade children and their families.
