Stuart Stotts, DeForest's own award-winning singer, author, and storyteller will help us do just that with a free drive-in, park, and listen concert on the Market Street side of the library.

If our summer readers keep up their hard work, there may even be free ice cream for concert attendees! #LoveLocalDeFo

We have run out of kits, but you can still bling your own mask at home and enter to win a bundle of craft supplies.

The Honey Pies - Concert

Meet the Honey Pies: Four musicians, heartfelt harmonies, virtuoso instrumentals and the best of traditional and original American music.

This is a drive-in, park, and listen event. Help us comply with Public Health Madison & Dane County regulations and stay in your vehicle. Get a free ticket for your vehicle at the Library.

Cub Scout Pack 35 will offer bottled water, bottled lemonade, and commercially popped popcorn for sale by car service!

What magic can be made from a piece of string? Imagine the possibilities as you walk and read this delightful story.

The Story Walk will be up by noon on the start dates, and be taken down by 5:00 pm on the end dates at each location. 

Story Walk Dates and Locations:

  • DeForest Area Public Library (starts on Market Street): July 1 - 12
  • Western Green Park: July 13 - 19
  • Conservancy Commons Park: July 20 - 26
  • Liberty Land Park: July 27 - August 2
  • Fireman's Park: August 3 - 9
