Cork 'n Bottle String Band: Concert on Market Street

This 6-piece Bluegrass band showcases talented instrumentalists and amazing 3-part harmony singing. Fans of banjo pickin’ and fiddles and guitars will love the sounds filling the air. Fans of comedy will appreciate the smart-talkin’ witty stage banter that develops between the songs. Feel free to exercise your dancing bones and your funny bone.

Take in the Badger Band playing our UW favorites and the antics of Bucky Badger!

Audience members are encouraged to bring chairs for the concerts; a limited amount of grassy space is available for blankets.

Cub Scout Pack 35 will be selling refreshments at the Concerts on Market Street.

Elmore Lawson: Concert at the Rocks

Find your groove, learn rhythms and drumming, and create music. 

Elmore will introduce people of all ages to the Djembe drum as well as other percussions and encourage them to explore the sounds they can make with the different instruments. He teaches the basics of drumming and how to participate in a drum circle, including rhythms, chants, call and response and solo phrases.

Hear a mix of blues, fiddle music, Cajun tunes, New Orleans-flavored numbers, and traditional folk songs for kids.

Audiences are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs and enjoy the wonderful entertainment with us!

Adventures in Magic: Terrific Tuesday

Magician Matthew Teague, who has performed on Penn & Teller: Fool Us, will entertain you with traditional magic with a twist, lots of audience participation, borrowed objects, mind reading demonstrations, and more.

Lion Dancing: Terrific Tuesday

Lions are coming to the Library—lion dancers, that is. Zhong Yi Kung Fu Association is returning to the DAPL with their lion dance performance troupe. 

The dancers and drummers will perform this entertaining and athletic form of traditional folk art at the Village Green across from the Library. 

Attendees will have opportunities to meet the performers, play the drums, and try on some of the costumes after the performance.
