Pride Month Rainbow Tie Dye - Registration Required

Join us to celebrate LGBT pride by signing up to make your own tie dye shirt!  Bring your own white cotton shirt (or other item) and twist and color it they way you want.

Masks are appreciated and allow us to help you. Please note the last 15 minutes of each session are for cleanup and resetting for the next session.

Chalk the Patio Again!

Need some inspiration? Perhaps a roll of the dice will help you create a fantastical new creature. Or you can take a turn or two on a chalk obstacle course.

Tales Take Flight - Session 2

Tales about parrots, macaws, and other exotic birds are often as beautiful as their tails. Meet some of these amazing creatures and learn about Feathered Friends Sanctuary & Rescue and the work they do to rescue and provide safe haven for exotic birds in captivity.

Space will be limited for this indoor program. Masks will be encouraged and appreciated, and social distancing will be required. 

Due to limited space this program will be offered twice. The Tales Take Flight - Session 1 at 1:00 pm is the same program as this one.

Tails & Tales with Nature's Niche

Which animal tales are true and which are not?  Sort out fact from fiction with help from Dennis "Dino" Tlachac, founder of Nature's Niche: Exotic and Native Animal Rescue. His menagerie of "creature teachers" will be on hand for this fun, interactive program.

The program will be held outdoors in front of the Library's Market Street entrance, weather permitting. Bring a chair to enjoy the program from Market Street, which will be closed for the presentation.

Whale of a Tale with Colossal Fossils

Just how big is a whale? Meet modern animals like the humpback whale, their dolphin cousins, the orcas, and their ancient ancestors...and see some of their gargantuan bones and skulls in person!

Word has it that there may even be a life-sized, inflatable whale.
